Unity is God-joy,
Prosperity.”
Oneness or Unity is the goal of our spiritual seeking and becoming. In
Unity or Oneness is the prosperity which comes from our experiences of
light and delight in the inner and outer world. This is indeed the
wisest thing to strive for in life because it is the ultimate reason
for our existence.
Everyone seems to seeking some kind of satisfaction or delight in
their own way on various levels. It is an inherent aspect of this
creation to seek for delight or joy or satisfaction. It seems to be
built into the ‘system’ or the ‘Way’ of this creation and Universe.
Even in ancient Vedic times, perhaps 5,000 years ago, there were
mantras, prayers,etc. which reflected this wisdom and helped seekers
to progress towards the goal of Oneness and Delight. One of my
favorite Vedic mantras is this one which seems to explain everything
in four short lines and complements today’s prayer as well:
“From Delight we came into existence.
In Delight we grow.
At the end of our journey’s close,
Into Delight we shall retire.”
In countless ways Sri Chinmoyis offering the same message along with
many, many opportunities to grow into this immortal Truth in our own
lives.
